Surrender
there may be a point in life where things just aren't going your way
when everything feels hard, painful, and doubtful
when you're questioning the universe "why am I here?"
when things feel so constricted, limited, anxious
you feel there is no where else to go
like you're throwing spaghetti at the wall
hoping something nourishing and nurturing will come through
and getting little in return
then there comes a point when you stop fighting against it
and just sit in the muck of it all
noticing what all this is here to show you
noticing what's ready to die and be let go of
noticing what you're being called to speak to and stand for
acknowledging the conditioning from childhood
that had us doubt our self-worth, value, skills, abilities
that taught us that asking for what we wanted and needed comes with consequences and judgments
reviewing the encodings from society
that success looks a certain way
that degrees and certifications are more important than life experiences
that the 9-5 40+ hour work week is more important than our health and wellbeing
that we can only make and receive money in certain ways and forms
Sometimes we unknowingly choose the experience of having everything fall apart
to see the patterns and loops that we've been unconsciously running in our lives
to question who we are in this moment and who we desire to be
to reflect on what we really want and need to feel nourished and supported
there is a point when we stop fighting against ourselves
and see what we've been weighing ourselves down with
the thoughts, the doubts, the fears, the judgments, the insecurities
and we surrender
to the breaking, the shattering, the death of who we are currently being
so that we can see, recognize, and choose a new way of being
where we choose and acknowledge who we want to truly be in the world
where we decide the impact and value that we share with the world
where we say the things that we've been holding back on saying
where we take the inspired actions of the next tiny step forward
into our Truth and Desires
so what are you now surrendering into?
